Privacy policy
Last updated October 21, 2026
The short version: your family's information belongs to your family. Hubs are private and hidden from search engines. We never sell your information, and you can download or delete it at any time.
Who we are
The Generations Hub is a private website where families keep their calendar, family tree and profiles in one place. Questions about this policy go to hello@thegenerationshub.com.
What we collect
- Waitlist: your name, your email, the plan you were interested in, and whose share link you used.
- Your account: your email address and which person on the family tree you are.
- Family information: what members add to a hub, such as names, birthdays, anniversaries, cities, phone numbers, photos, events, announcements and comments.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We see what was bought and when, but we never see or store card numbers.
- Website visits: on our public pages only, basic information such as pages viewed and the device used.
How we use it
- To run your family hub: the calendar, tree, reminders, newsletter and the other features you use.
- To send emails you asked for: reminders, invites, receipts and the monthly newsletter.
- To tell waitlist members when we open and about the Founding Family offer.
- To keep the service safe and fix problems.
Who can see your family's information
Only the members of your hub. Hubs are private and hidden from search engines, and there are no public profile pages. The organizer decides who gets in.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We use a small number of companies to run the service:
- Vercel (website hosting) and Supabase (secure database and photo storage)
- Postmark (sending email)
- Stripe (payments)
- Google Analytics, Meta and TikTok, on our public pages only, to measure our advertising. These never run inside family hubs.
We may also share information when the law requires it.
Children
- Children under 13 cannot have their own account. A parent manages their profile.
- A child's phone number and home address are hidden from other members unless a parent chooses to show them.
- Photos of anyone under 18 are seen only by hub members. They are left out of emails and the newsletter unless a parent turns them on.
Your choices
- Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link that works without logging in.
- You choose which emails you get in your notification settings.
- The organizer can download all of the hub's information at any time, or delete the hub.
- Anyone can ask to be removed from a family tree.
- To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email hello@thegenerationshub.com.
Keeping it safe
Information is encrypted when it travels and when it is stored, and it is backed up daily. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, so there is no password to steal. Each family's information is walled off from every other family's.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account or hub is active. When a hub is deleted, its information is removed within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days. Waitlist details are deleted if you ask us to.
Changes to this policy
If we make an important change, we will email account holders before it takes effect.
